How to Authenticate a Longchamp LE PLIAGE Cosmetic Pouch with top handle

As I worked to confirm the pouch's authenticity, I turned my attention to the buttons. It's essential to note that there are two types of buttons used in real Longchamp Le Pliage bags: one with stripes and the other with circles. But, when it comes to the Le Pliage Cosmetic Pouch with a top handle, only the button with circles around it is used. This is a critical detail to consider when checking if your pouch is genuine.
Additionally, it's important to mention that the "original" button is indeed used in Longchamp's products but not in this specific Le Pliage model. The "original" button can be found in larger Le Pliage variations like the XL and travel ones.

I peeked inside, and there it was – a clear giveaway. The stitching and overall finish inside the fake pouch were just sloppy, nowhere near the neatness you'd expect from an authentic Longchamp.

And now, for the inside tag – a quick giveaway. The fake one proudly mentions "Made in France." But here's the deal, these little pouches aren't made in France. They come from China, Romania, or Tunisia.
UPDATE : You may now find some mini pouches made in France — always verify other authenticity signs to ensure yours is genuine.

I hope this article has been helpful in guiding you to authenticate and distinguish between genuine and counterfeit Longchamp Le Pliage cosmetic pouches with top handles. Thank you so much for this. I bought a large LePliage from an online shop in NYC that was on sale. After going through your checkpoints, I can see that it is not authentic. It’s going back.

Thank you for this great service!. On behalf of myself and our charity thrift shop, you saved us from making a terrible mistake with a bag that was donated last week. Thank you for an education!!!

I bought second hand one that looked in very good condition. I have just checked online and it is clear I am in possession of a fake!
£68 down in my pocket. I will buy direct form the store from now on. I have reported to Vinted but guess they can do nothing.

Oh my gosh. I stumbled upon this website after seeing a few Longchamp bags being sold on a local buying and selling community. I had purchased this model a few months ago, so excited that it was being sold for a little cheaper than retail. I had no doubt in my mind it was the real deal. But I had had some unexpected doubt, so I checked the details presented on this post… oh my god. I was sold a fake Longchamp bag. For MUCH more than it was probably worth, and I had no idea. I have a real Le pliage large, and even cross referencing between this mini and the large.. I can’t believe I had no idea. I’m bummed, to say the least, but at least I know now, and I won’t be purchasing any more Longchamp unless it is from the brand itself. Thank you so much for this post!
